The Last Song

Plot:Ronnie (Miley Cyrus) is a 18 year old girl from New York who has had some bad luck with the crime ever since her parents divorce, therefore making her rebel. She is angry with her parents. But one summer her mum sends her and her brother Jonah away to live with their father. Ronnie hates it, she doesn't fit in. But that is until she meets Will, a popular mechanic, who shows her how to love, not just him, but her family, life, and the people in it.

Effects: The start scene was fantastic, there was a fire and dramatics, along with the music it relates to a whole story. There is a part where Ronnie chose out dresses for a wedding with her brother and is one of those typical scenes where the girl goes and poses in all different dresses, a cliche, but still a lot of fun for the viewer.

Soundtrack: The soundtrack is great, some great oldies in there, like 'She Will Be Loved' By Maroon 5. I love that song, and it was great scene when both characters were singing it. The end song was great, the composer did a great job interpreting the song for the book. Overall a great soundtrack.

Reality or just plain fiction?: Its a Nicholas Sparks book in a movie, what do you expect, I had tears running down, the movie was heartfelt and being a fan of the book it was the most true you could get, its great and one of the only films I have seen that is the most true to the book after Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone. The meaning was that no matter what you should look after your family and care for them no matter what, and that its ok to love, its not a crime. It wasn't realistic but these things can happen.

Rating: 3 1/2 stars, it was good, but a bit cheesy, Liam Hemsworth, who plays Will was a bit dull and did a horrible American accent. The kid who played Jonah brought me to tears when he cried, definitely my favourite character.

FIRST I SHALL EXPLAIN HOW THIS WORKS

Hi there, your either reading this cause your my friend and I made your read this blog, or your have nothing better to do, if its neither of these things, I am proud to know you actually care what I'm blogging about. For the benefit of you the reader, and me, I am going to have a code name: candybarqueen, your probably thinking, what type of name is that? what does it have to do with this blog? you see it has everything to do with it. I work at a cinema, in the candy bar and make choc tops all day long. Its fun, but the best part is that I get free movie tickets, so I can see what ever film we have showing for free. Its fun. So I thought I would put it to good use and break down these films and analyse them.

For each film there will be four subheadings:

• Plot: This is where I explain what is going on in the film, I explain whether its a load of bullshit or a really creative plot.
• Effects: This is where I explain the visual effects, the best cuts, shots, scenes and the ones that use so much effect the make you cry.
• Soundtrack: A soundtrack is very important to me. Its what explains a story in my head, you should know up front I am an auditory learner, in order for me to learn and concentrate I need noise, and when I am in a movie and there is no noise except for breathing it may give a great effect but it annoys the shit out of me.
• Reality of just plain fiction?: Ok this is the main part, this is where I tell you the message of the film, how it relates to life and where can we go on from here, I well also tell you whether its a load of bullshit and this will never happen to you. Because sometimes Disney movies make you have high expectations of men.

I will then conclude with how many stars out of 5 I will give the film, 0 being bad and 5 being AMAZING. But never once have I given a film 5 stars.
